SEO for you and your AI agent. No subscription.

Keyword research, rank tracking, backlinks, site audits, AI visibility and your own Search Console data, in one open-source workspace your agent can drive. Every action shows its price before it runs, and you pay YepAPI directly. OpenSEO adds nothing.

New YepAPI accounts get $5 in free credits. Rank checks start at $0.01. Or try the free tools, no sign-up.

01Features

Focused workflows, not a bloated suite

The SEO work most sites actually do, without the hundred reports you never open. Each tool has its own page with what it does and what it costs.

All features
  • Keyword research

Keyword ideas and related keywords with volume, CPC, difficulty, intent and a 12-month trend, across 215 markets.

  • Rank tracking

Track Google positions on desktop and mobile by country, city or exact coordinates, on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule.

  • Search performance

Connect Google Search Console and Analytics read-only to find queries one push from page one and pages worth improving first. Free.

  • Domain overview

Estimated organic traffic, top keywords, top pages and ranking distribution for a domain.

  • Backlinks

Backlink summary, backlink list, referring domains, anchors, monthly new and lost links, top linked pages and link intersect.

  • Competitor research

Find your SERP competitors and the keyword gap between their site and yours.

  • Site audit

A free crawler with 59 technical checks and a health score, and Lighthouse on mobile or desktop with the failed audits listed.

  • AI visibility

Track prompts across 120+ AI models with web search on. See whether your brand is mentioned, whether your site is cited, and where.

  • Local SEO

Google Business profile lookups, reviews and geo-grid rank maps.

  • MCP server and REST API

An MCP server with 60 tools and a REST API. Claude, Cursor, Codex and other agents can use every OpenSEO feature, and every paid call takes a spending ceiling.

Why OpenSEO

Built so you never pay for what you do not use

Big SEO suites charge a monthly fee whether you open them or not. OpenSEO charges nothing, and every cent you spend goes to the data you asked for.

  • The price, before it runs

Every lookup shows what it costs before you run it, and repeating one within the cache window is free. There is nothing to work out at the end of the month.

  • Agents with a spending cap

Sixty MCP tools give your agent the whole workspace. Every paid call takes a ceiling, so a call that could cost more than you agreed is refused before a cent is spent.

  • Your own Google data

Connect Search Console and Analytics read-only to find queries one push from page one and the pages most worth improving. Free, and nothing Google returns is stored.

  • Open source, no markup

MIT licensed and self-hostable. OpenSEO adds nothing to YepAPI’s prices, whether you use this site or run it yourself.

02How it works

Three steps, and none of them is a checkout

OpenSEO never takes a payment. The data comes from YepAPI, so that is where the money goes.

  1. Create a YepAPI account

Sign up at yepapi.com. New accounts get $5 in free API credits, enough for about 500 page-one rank checks.

  2. Paste your key

Add your YepAPI key to OpenSEO. From then on, YepAPI bills each call to that key at its own pay-per-call price.

  3. Run research

Pick an action. The app shows what it will cost before it runs, so there is nothing to work out afterwards.

03Pricing by action

You see the price before anything runs

There are no plans, seats or monthly limits. Every action has a price set by YepAPI, and the app shows it before you run it.

What $5 in credits covers

  • about 500page-one rank checks, or
  • about 60keyword research runs, or
  • about 80backlink lookups

YepAPI's prices at the time of writing. YepAPI sets them and may change them. A rank check stops at the page where your site appears, so a page-one keyword costs $0.01.

04Agents and MCP

Connect your agent in two minutes

Every feature in the app is available to Claude, Cursor, Codex and other agents over MCP, with the same prices and limits you see in the app. Then just ask.

  • Find 20 keywords for emergency plumbing in Austin under difficulty 30, and save them.
  • Which of my pages are stuck on page two, and what would move them?
  • Check my rankings this week and tell me what dropped, for under $0.50.
  • Sixty tools: research, rank tracking, audits, AI visibility, Search Console
  • Every paid tool takes dry_run and a max_cost_usd ceiling
  • One HTTP endpoint and an oseo_ API key from the app settings
  • Works with Claude, Cursor, Codex and other MCP clients

Run it on your own machine

OpenSEO is MIT licensed. Clone it, point it at Postgres and run the whole stack yourself. Your YepAPI key works the same way, and the prices do not change.
