Apple Business Connect

Also called Apple Maps business listing, Apple Maps Connect

What is Apple Business Connect?

Apple Business Connect is Apple’s free tool that lets businesses claim and manage their place card on Apple Maps, which also appears in other Apple services such as Siri and Spotlight search. Apple launched it in January 2023. You can edit your name, address, hours, phone, website, photos and category.

Beyond the basics, you can add promotional cards called Showcases and set action links such as booking or ordering, where available. It is Apple’s counterpart to Google Business Profile and Bing Places. Like them, it requires you to verify that you are authorised to manage the business.

Why Apple Business Connect matters for SEO

iPhone users who ask Siri for directions or search Apple Maps see Apple’s data, not Google’s. If your Apple listing is missing or wrong, those customers may not find you or may be sent to the wrong place.

It is also a core local citation: accurate, verified details on a major platform that keeps your NAP consistent. If you never claim the listing, Apple builds it from other data sources, which may be out of date.

How to claim your Apple Maps listing

  1. Sign in to Apple Business Connect with an Apple Account.
  2. Search for your business and claim it, or add it if it is not listed.
  3. Verify ownership using the method Apple offers.
  4. Fill in hours, phone, website, category and photos, matching your Google profile.
  5. Check the listing in Apple Maps on an iPhone after changes go live.
