SEO glossary
What is a keyword gap?
A keyword gap is the set of keywords that one or more competitors rank for but your site does not, or ranks for much lower. Keyword gap analysis compares the rankings of several domains side by side to find those keywords. It is a quick way to find proven topics that already bring competitors traffic.
Related SEO terms
A content gap is a topic or keyword your audience searches for that your site doesn’t cover, often one your competitors already rank for.
Share of voice is your share of the visibility in a market, such as the share of AI answers or search clicks that go to you versus competitors.
Organic search is the unpaid part of search results, where pages appear because the search engine judged them relevant, not because someone paid.
Keyword research is finding the search terms your audience uses, then judging which ones are worth targeting by demand, difficulty and intent.
Topical authority is a site’s perceived depth and expertise on a subject, built by covering it thoroughly and being cited on it.
Competitors FAQ
Do I need a project?
No. The SEO tools work on their own, in any market you pick. Keywords you find can be saved to a project in one click when you want to track them.
Can I share a result?
Yes. The search, the market and the open tab are all in the page address, so a link or a bookmark opens the same view. Anyone opening it runs the search with their own key; a repeat of something already looked up is served from the cache for free.
