Keyword metrics in one search
Keyword, country, city or state, and language sit side by side. The price of the whole search shows before it runs, and the market you pick is remembered for every other tool.

Keyword difficulty, volume and traffic potential
Difficulty from 0 to 100 with roughly how many linking sites the top 10 have. Monthly volume with its trend, the cost per click and how much advertisers compete. Traffic potential: what the top result earns from all its keywords. And volume in five other large markets, so you see where the demand is.

Keyword ideas and questions
Terms that match the topic, the questions people ask, what the ranking pages also rank for, and Google’s own autocomplete. Click any of them to open its overview, or View all for the full list.

Top 10 SERP analysis
The results page as Google lays it out, features in their places, with how many visits this keyword sends each result. Turn on authority metrics for each page’s Domain Rating, URL Rating, backlinks, linking domains, traffic and its value.

SEO glossary
What is keyword difficulty?
Keyword difficulty (KD) is a score, usually from 0 to 100, that estimates how hard it would be to rank in Google’s top 10 for a keyword. Higher means harder. SEO tools calculate it from the pages that currently rank, most often from how many and how strong their backlinks are. It is a third-party estimate, not a Google metric.
Related SEO terms
Search volume is the estimated number of times a keyword is searched per month in a given location, usually averaged over the past 12 months.
Traffic potential estimates the total organic traffic you could get by ranking first for a topic, counting every related query the top page ranks for.
Search intent is the reason behind a search: what the person wants to know, find or do. Matching it is one of the most important parts of SEO.
Cost per click (CPC) is what advertisers pay for one click on a search ad. In SEO, a keyword’s CPC hints at how commercially valuable it is.
Keyword research is finding the search terms your audience uses, then judging which ones are worth targeting by demand, difficulty and intent.
Keyword overview FAQ
Where does traffic potential come from?
It is the organic traffic the top-ranking page gets from all the keywords it ranks for, when that is known. Otherwise it is estimated from this keyword alone: its volume times a typical click-through rate for the first result.
Why does a keyword show a clickstream estimate?
Google Ads reports no volume for some topics, such as VPNs or gambling. For those, the overview uses a volume estimate from clickstream data instead, and says so.
Do I need a project?
No. The SEO tools work on their own, in any market you pick. Keywords you find can be saved to a project in one click when you want to track them.
Can I share a result?
Yes. The search, the market and the open tab are all in the page address, so a link or a bookmark opens the same view. Anyone opening it runs the search with their own key; a repeat of something already looked up is served from the cache for free.
